Nova House - Amsterdam (the Netherlands)
A Board member from the start of Nova House in 2010. Nova House has grown from one single house to ten in 2019 and still growing. Working closely together with the director / entrepreneur and assisting management whenever there is a question to do so.
Nova House offers sheltered housing in Amsterdam, individual coaching and therapy to those who have gone through a rehab program and find it difficult to make the initial step to independent living. A program of intensive individual guidance results in a significant reduction of the risk of relapse.
Gram Vikas - Bhubaneswar (India)
Founded a Dutch based foundation: Stichting Gram Vikas Benelux in 2005 to assist Gram Vikas in realising its growth plans from Europe. One of the projects was to bring 12 small solar powered water purification systems to orphanages in Sri Lanka and the East coast of India.
Gram Vikas is a development organisation (NGO) enabling sustainable and equitable processes for a dignified quality of life of the rural communities. It offers sanitary and clean water solutions to the rural poor in India. Gram Vikas was established in 1979 by Joe Madiath in Odisha. It now offers its services still in Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Andra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tanzania.
